On Friday we visited Simnitt Nursery, LLC, a wholesale rhododendron nursery, in nearby Canby, Oregon. Their inventory was marked down to $10 a plant! We were among the first to arrive at 8:45 am, and ended up coming home with 19 new rhodies to add to our garden.
Purple Silver Edge grows to 6 feet.
We purchased 8 of these Solidarity Rhodies. Right now we planted them in partial shade where we can provide water and a canopy during this week’s heat wave (in the 90’s). Eventually they will be moved to our front entry, once we repair a stuck valve that is causing problems with our irrigation system. Solidary grows from 3- 5 feet tall and 3-5 feet wide.
Ana Rose Whitney grows 6 feet within 10 years. We love the color!
We added 3 Nancy Evans Rhodies– a beautiful yellow–in the bed facing the front gate.
And look at this red beauty the original owners planted 20 years ago! We are so lucky to call this property our own!
